Carl & Strups as a life-sized mascot
A large, moving Carl & Strups mascot is currently being created in London for bookstores, schools, events, and special appearances.
Not a souvenir. A real presence.
Carl & Strups is not being designed as a small merchandise item, but as a life-sized figure that meets people directly. The aim is a strong, high-quality mascot that excites children and brings the world of Carl & Strups from the books into real life.
The insights shown here come from the current production process in London. Early construction and movement stages are shown intentionally.
Carl & Strups is taking shape
Not everything is finished yet – and that is part of the appeal. The video shows first movements, proportions, and the current stage of development. It makes clear that this is not a small decorative item, but a large living figure made for real encounters.
Between workshop, figure, and character
The development includes shape, posture, scale, material, movement, and presence in space. These in-between stages show how much work goes into a mascot that will later truly perform.
Made to be experienced, not just shown
Bookstores & signing days
Carl & Strups is designed to become visible in bookstores, attract attention, and turn a book into a real experience.
Schools & family events
The mascot is intended for encounters with children – for school visits, readings, celebrations, and memorable moments.
Fairs, destinations & public events
At fairs, markets, tourist venues, and cultural locations, Carl & Strups can draw people directly into the world of the series.
